Public Safety

Fire Fighting/Police/First Responders

Imagine a safer and more efficient on-scene location without the expense of the latest equipment or technical training.

Whether at the fireground or on-scene with first responders, we know that accidents are not simply random occurrences. Fully trained operators cause accidents and make mistakes. Breakdowns in communication, leadership, and situational awareness continue to kill our teammates and threaten every mission.

Break the chain of complacency.

Since 1975, US firefighters have suffered over 100 firefighter deaths each year. Over the next decade, over 1,100 will die. The last 30 years have seen the largest boom in firefighting safety and technology, yet there has been no decline in on-scene mortality rates. Something has got to change.

We’ve trained some of the nation’s largest metro fire departments and some of the smallest volunteer forces. Our programs have proven to reduce human error for all first responders.

Flight Level Solutions will bring your team the tools and techniques used by NASA astronauts and US Navy fighter pilots to keep the most dynamic teams operating efficiently and safely.

Perfect team training for:
• Firefighters
• Industrial Fire Brigades
• SWAT Teams
• EOD Teams
• EMT Teams
• Homeland Security Teams
• Airborne Units: Medevac Air Ambulance Teams, Police Helicopter Teams

"Reduce your mistakes and your team will perform better."

CRM has proven so beneficial, for nearly 20 years, US Navy Fighter Pilots, US Air Force Pilots, and every FAA sanctioned airline pilot has been required to attend CRM training at least once a year.

By understanding these human factors, flattening the hierarchy, and learning from their own mistakes, elite Navy fighter pilots have created a culture of "we" over "me" mentality - making them the most precise and dominant operators in the world today.

In the year 5AD, Cicero said, "Anyone can err, but only the fool persists in his fault." Yet repeating mistakes time and again is exactly what countless industries do everyday. Why is nearly every high-risk industry DECADES behind aviation?

TESTIMONIALS

“Every person in the American workplace should attend this training! Best I’ve seen! Highly recommended! This is just what we were looking for! I will be asking you to attend future meetings for some follow on training, and providing additional training at our individual project sites.”

Jack Duley / Dir. Safety and Health, Clark Construction

“100% of our employees, including the 3 owners, participated. The cost was a bargain-even if it were twice the price! To put it mildly, from the moment Jack walked into our lobby, in his flight suit no less, team Auto Metal Craft Inc. was blown away! Any company would benefit just by having this guy in the room. Alone, Jack Becker's social currency is worth the price. We hope to have him back in the near future and make it an annual event!”

Kim “Sales” Woody / President, Auto Metal Craft, Inc.

“Dynamite presentation! Jack Becker has really given us something to believe in! His Team Resource Management training not only developed our safety culture, but also increased our quality and efficiency. We will definitely have FLS back!”

What is the History behind FLS?

During the 1970s, the aviation community made a startling discovery. Having been so focused on mechanical issues and building safer jets, experts determined as many as 80% of accidents were being caused by human error. Following a string of preventable mishaps leaving thousands dead, researchers found that human factors such as poor communication, lack of teamwork, stress, and fatigue as well as an unbelievably steep hierarchy were to blame.

As a result, NASA, along with the US Air Force, the US Navy, and a few select airlines created what would become Crew Resource Management (CRM). CRM would develop into a cutting edge teamwork and safety culture program that would redefine aviation safety forever. Whether the flight is a small private propeller plane over the Midwest, an international jumbo jet high over the Pacific, or an F/A-18 Super Hornet landing at night aboard an aircraft carrier, CRM has truly changed the human performance and safety culture in aviation.
